Neurodiverse-informed Treatment of Anxiety & OCD (NDAO IOP)
Ryther’s Neurodiverse-informed Treatment of Anxiety and OCD Intensive Outpatient (NDAO IOP) focuses on helping neurodivergent and neurotypical youth of all genders ages 8-14 gain skills and strategies to progress toward stability and improved functioning. The IOP provides an inclusive environment for youth experiencing significant challenges with anxiety and OCD.

We focus on the whole person, not just their diagnosis. Our mission is to help our clients develop an improved sense of belonging, self-development, and confidence. We utilize a neurodiverse-informed approach that celebrates the client’s neurodivergent identity, while providing skills to help them address mental health challenges such as anxiety and OCD.

Our work is grounded in the use of experiential activities such as group games and mindful movement as a core component of our treatment approach. This is especially important for neurodiverse learners. Our evidence-based therapy often incorporates art, tabletop gaming, and other hands-on group activities. Through this approach, and by utilizing our beautiful campus and both indoor and outdoor spaces, we strive to help clients feel a stronger connection to their treatment journey.

More About Our Program:
-
Commitment to transparency in communication: We are grounded in the ARC model (Attachment, Regulation, Competency). The ARC Model is a trauma-centered lens that informs how we approach our clients and families, as well as how we communicate within our team and our external colleagues.

-
Culturally responsive: Our team centers our clients and their parents/caregivers. And we are especially aware that some of the families we serve come from communities that have traditionally been marginalized, and even harmed, by the mental health system. We are mission-driven to be responsive to each person’s identity and experience and to deliver treatment that fits their needs.

-
Continuum of care: With both IOP and PHP options and ongoing therapy, parent/caregiver coaching, and group opportunities at Ryther, we provide appropriate levels of intervention support to fit clients’ needs as they progress through their treatment process. We coordinate closely with existing providers and support systems so that we can offer the ongoing aftercare support that our clients deserve.
