Juvenile Detention Mental Health Team
Ryther’s Juvenile Detention Mental Health Services team works within the King County Juvenile Detention Center in Seattle’s Central District neighborhood. This program provides specialized care for detained youth, focusing on their mental health and well-being during and after their time in detention.

This program is designed for youth detained within the King County Juvenile Detention Center. It addresses the unique challenges faced by these individuals and supports their mental health needs during detention and as they transition back into the community.

Collaboration and Care Coordination:

Ryther staff collaborates with psychiatric and primary care providers within the Detention Health Center to ensure comprehensive care. In partnership with the Juvenile Justice Assessment Team (JJAT), juvenile detention and court staff, inpatient facilities, and other systems, Ryther provides referrals and ensures clients’ needs—such as physical health, psychiatric treatment, and psychological services—are met.
