When your child is struggling emotionally or behaviorally, the path forward can feel out of reach.

We use evidence-based treatments including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Trauma- focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) and Seven Challenges. Other therapies include experiential and expressive arts, narrative, solutions-focused, play, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). We treat children, youth and young adults who are struggling with challenges including: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Self-Harm, Trauma, Autism, Substance Use Disorders.

Insurance and Medicaid coverage

Call 206.517.0234 and we will confirm your insurance plan coverage and bill your insurance directly if service is covered. Ryther provides individual and family therapy and psychiatry to children and youth with private insurance and Medicaid insurance. In King County, children and youth with Medicaid insurance, who meet eligibility requirements, can receive comprehensive therapy, mental health, and case management services. Ryther now also provides outpatient substance use services under Medicaid insurance for youth 10-18 years of age in King County.

Locations for services and hours

We offer mental health counseling and therapy in Seattle, Bellevue, and Mukilteo. Substance Use Disorder assessment and treatment (Drug and Alcohol) are available at our Seattle location. Individuals who are working with a therapist at Ryther can also access psychiatric services at Seattle. Business Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am 7:30pm and Fridays 8am-5pm.


Ryther accepts Medicaid for King County residents. Unfortunately, we cannot accept Medicaid for residents outside of King County unless the individual is or was a ward of the state. For commercially insured clients Ryther will submit claims on your behalf. Review the list below regarding costs.
