Join Robin’s Ride: A Virtual Camino for Kids with the Ryther League Noel Unit!

At Ryther, we understand that every journey, no matter how challenging, holds the promise of hope and transformation. This September, you’re invited to embark on a virtual journey that not only mirrors the challenges our youth face but also supports them every step of the way.

Walk the Camino de Santiago Virtually with Robin Bennett!

Robin Bennett, a beloved former Ryther Development staffer, is taking on an incredible challenge: an 800-kilometer trek along the Camino de Santiago in Spain. But Robin’s journey is more than just a physical feat; it’s a tribute to the strength and resilience of the children, teens, and young adults at Ryther.

As Robin acknowledges, her trek, while daunting, pales in comparison to the struggles our youth endure as they navigate their paths toward healing and hope. That’s why the Ryther League’s Noel Unit is inviting you to join Robin’s Ride: A Virtual Camino for Kids!

You can participate by pledging a donation for every kilometer Robin walks or by making a one-time gift. Every step Robin takes is a step toward brighter futures for the young people Ryther serves.

A Symbol of Strength and Hope: The Cruz de Ferro

One of the most symbolic moments of the Camino Frances is reaching the Cruz de Ferro, where pilgrims leave stones as a sign of shedding burdens and embracing new beginnings. In a special tribute to the youth of Ryther, Robin will carry a universal stone created by the children. This stone will be placed at the Cruz de Ferro, symbolizing the collective strength, courage, and hope of those we serve.

This powerful gesture reminds us all of the resilience of the children and teens at Ryther and the importance of the community’s support in helping them overcome their challenges.

Follow Robin’s Journey

Starting September 6, you can follow Robin’s progress along the Camino, with regular updates from the trail. Let’s cheer her on together as she walks in solidarity with the youth of Ryther. ¡Buen Camino!

About the Ryther League

Since 1937, the Ryther League has been a cornerstone of support for Ryther, raising funds and volunteering to enhance our services. The League’s contributions directly benefit Ryther’s comprehensive mental health services, ensuring that children, teens, and families in our community receive the care and support they need.

There are many ways to get involved with the Ryther League. Whether you’re interested in starting a new unit, joining an existing one, volunteering at the ReStyle for Ryther thrift store, or stepping into a leadership role on the League Board, your participation makes a difference.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Robin’s Ride is more than a fundraiser; it’s a journey of solidarity and support for the young people at Ryther. We invite you to walk alongside us, to give, and to witness the impact of your generosity on the lives of those who need it most.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Together, we can help the children and youth at Ryther start anew, just like the pilgrims at the Cruz de Ferro.
